NON PLASTISOL TRANSFER

Graphiplas plastisol transfers are the 'standard' cold peel transfer everybody thinks about when discussing plastisols and utilise a hot melt adhesive layer to adhere to the fabric.

Plastisol is a liquid form of plastic which when printed requires 'curing' with heat. If left uncured it never dries.

The simple heat press application of plastisol transfers is an integral part of the curing process and when completed correctly produces a strong transfer which will withstand many wash/wear cycles without degrading.

Graphiplas plastisol transfers give excellent coverage to all garment colours and have excellent stretchability for normal fabrics.

Note: Tell us what application the transfers are for and we can 'modify' the formulation of the ink to suit fabrics such as add stretchability for Lycra or toughness for workwear.

GRAPHISUB sublimation

Graphisub transfers are sublimation transfers which use sublimation dyes printed by either screen printing or specially adapted inkjet printers.

Most football, cycling and other multi coloured polyester wear is printed by sublimation transfers.

As a dye process it has to be used on light coloured fabrics (dark colours can't be dyed as dyes are transparent).

The fabric has to have a high, preferably 100%, polyester content. There are now many 100% polyester garments available.

We currently provide sublimation transfers for football, running, gym, and swimwear applications.

Also used for printing polyester coated mugs, crockery, metal plates and mouse mats etc.

Note: Once printed the fabric is dyed permanently and has no ink build at all.

Sublimation transfers do not work on cotton.

GRAPHIPLAS plastisol

Graphisplit plastisol transfers although printed with plastisol inks are applied differently to Graphiplas. They rely on a higher application temperature and pressure in place of an applied adhesive to fuse the transfer to the fabric.

Many customers prefer Graphisplit for light coloured garments as they give a soft natural look and feel and are virtually indistinguishable  from directly printed garments.

Standard Graphisplit transfers are not recommended for dark coloured garments as the act of applying the transfer 'splits' the ink leaving some on the paper thus reducing the transfers covering ability.

However, we have a hybrid version that utilises a 'special' ink layer in the production process thus increasing the coverage. Additionally this gives us the ability to print photographic and continuous tone images.

The use of this 'extra' ink layer does increase the cost.

Note: Not suitable for pique knits and other very course weaves.

Not recommended for sports wear garments.

GRAPHICUT various

Graphicut transfers encompass a vast range of computer cad cut T shirt vinyl materials for almost every conceivable application.

Available T shirt vinyl films include plain colours, metallic films, reflective films, highly stretchy films, prismatic, special effect and glow in the dark films among many others.

Graphicut t shirt vinylis are ideal for short run jobs, individual names, special football numbers etc.

Unlike printed transfers there is no make ready cost so one off transfers are possible at reasonable cost. Longer runs are potentially expensive therefore runs of 50 or more they may not be economic.

Note: Washability is usually very good as long as they are applied correctly.

GRAPHISPLIT plastisol

Graphituf transfers were created by us 20 years ago after 9 months of research and testing.

They utilise a modified solvent based ink which together with a regulated printing schedule and special adhesive layer produce a tough transfer that is ideal for the decoration of sports and workwear jackets, school and sports bags and other non stretchy fabrics that are considered 'difficult' to print.

Graphituf are Ideal for multiple colour prints onto made up garments and bags which can't be held or registered when using direct printing.

Graphituf transfers are capable of holding fine detail and are applied at low temperatures that won't harm the fabric.

A special 'flexible' version is available for lightweight fabrics such as those used on umbrellas.

DIGITAL Laser/inkjet

We use these inkjet transfer films extensively for promotional garments, stag party and hen night shirts and garments where robust wash wear characteristics are not necessary or required.

Many inkjet films are available for light and dark fabrics and are capable of being printed with high quality photographic images or simple spot colours.

Inkjet ransfers for dark garments may need to be cad cut or hand trimmed which will increase the cost per print.

Ideal for short runs including one offs and like Graphicut can become uneconomic for longer runs.

Note: we don't give any guarantee regarding washability of digital transfers, they probably will fade and crack well before any other transfer type but will look great at the event they were printed for.
